As God so Loved

He brought to my face a glow, soft but bright
And changed my dreary life, making it worthwhile.
He spurred me to hope and urged me to fight.
He made me strong enough try again with a smile.
I made excuses and even planned not to keep on,
For I believed my heart had nothing lo give
Until He revealed His light like the breaking of dawn.
He taught me how to live so that I could thrive.
He transformed my doubt into faith, set free my soul
And gently erased my sorrows; then sadness fled away.
Now every day I pray and thank Him for the rôle
That love has played and the light that brightens my day.
He is living n the flowers, in the birds, and in the trees—
He will lift you up, as helps you down upon your knees.
