What If, Only for Thee

What if I conquer caffeine’s addictive hold
And stop carping about the bulges on my hips?
What if I allow my natural face to unfold—
No rimming the lids, no painting the lips?

What if I allow my lobe-holes to close—
No ear-baubles decorating my face?
What if I throw aside my worldly pose
And live only inside They humble, holy place?

What if I write and sing my songs only for Thee
As deep within my eternal soul I dive?
What if my voice reflects all I can be,
For only through Thy love am I alive?

Only with Thee will my heart ever beat,
Only with Thee shall I become complete.
